GENERAL INFORMATION

You will need a valid government issued photo ID with your current physical address on it.  If your government issued picture identification does not show your CURRENT PHYSICAL ADDRESS,  you will need some other Government Document that shows your current physical address and your name. Examples include:  Motor Vehicle Registration, Voter Registration, City Water Bill, Fishing or Hunting License, IRS documentation, etc. Items that generally DO NOT meet this requirement include:  cable bill, power bill, dish network bill, phone bill. Documentation MUST be from a City, County, State, or Federal Government entity and it MUST show your name (as shown on your picture ID) and your current physical address. You will then fill out a Form 4473 and we will run a background check.  If you have a valid GWCL or GFL, no background check is required. 

The process goes like this:  you decide which silencer you want and we will try to find it at our distributors.  You pay up front for the Silencer, then we order it.  Generally, it takes about 3-4 weeks for us to get it in the shop.  Either at the time of order or at some other convenient time, we will scan your fingerprints and take your picture in the shop (once we have those on file, we never have to do it again).  When we have the Silencer in hand, you will need to come back into the shop where we will complete the eForm 4 and submit it to the ATF (you will need a credit card in order to pay the $200 tax to the ATF). Then the wait starts.  Typically about 8-10 months.  When your tax stamp is received, you can pick up your can! 

All customers who do not have a valid Georgia Weapons Carry License (GWCL) must have a NICS background check performed.  We do these electronically.  NICS background checks are usually instant or only take a few moments, but it some circumstances can take longer.  (Get a GWCL to avoid delays).  NICS checks come back one of 3 ways:  PROCEED, DELAY, or DENY.  PROCEED means we are good to go and the firearm can be transferred.  DELAY means that you will not be taking the firearm with you at that time.  Delays can happen for multiple reasons, none of which are known to us.  The FBI will not tell us why.  Just know that if you are delayed, we can't transfer the guns until the check comes back PROCEED or until AFTER the third business day (not including weekends or holidays) from the initial check and IF we have no concerns.  We check on Delays daily and will contact you if they change.  If you are under 21, the FBI will automatically DELAY you for 7-14 days (thank your leftist congressmen for that).  Trust us, we want to complete the sale, but we will follow the rules to the letter.  A DENY means we cannot, under any circumstance, transfer the gun to you.  Again, the FBI doesn't tell us why, but in most cases, you probably already know why. And NO, if you get DELAYED OR DENIED, your wife or buddy cannot purchase the gun for you.  Buying a gun for someone who cannot legally buy one on their own is a STRAW PURCHASE, and is ILLEGAL!!!!  If we even smell a straw purchase, we will not complete it.  

Call us or come in and pay for your purchase.  Contact your local dealer and have them send us a copy of their FFL to cldefensellc@gmail.com.  When we receive the FFL, we will ship the firearm to the dealer at our earliest opportunity (usually within a day or two)  The actual transfer of the firearm, including any transfer fees, is then the responsibility of the buyer and their transferring dealer. 

Buy the firearm you want online or from another dealer.  Most online shops already have a copy of our FFL, so you should be able to select CL Defense as your transferring dealer.  If not, have them email us at cldefensellc@gmail.com to request a copy of our FFL or they can go to the homepage of this website and submit it there.  When the firearm arrives, we will give you a call and you can come in a complete a 4473 to pick up the gun.  Our transfer fee is $25 CASH ONLY for up to 3 firearms at once, and $5 CASH ONLY for each firearm over that.  NFA transfer fee is $75 CASH ONLY per item. CL Defense is not responsible for circumstances arising from a customer not being able to have a firearm transferred to them.  We will work with any customer, but any financial obligation or loss rests solely with the customer.

We do accept trades in store.  We will not discuss a trade without the item present.  We will do our best to offer a fair price, but remember that we are a retail business and we have to make a profit in order to remain in business.

Layaway is only available for items totaling $299 or more.

30 DAYS
Minimum 30% CASH down, with balance due 30 days from initial deposit.   If cancelled  prior to the 30th day, or if balance is not paid in full by the 30th day,  1/2 of the initial deposit is non-refundable and the item will be placed back in stock to be sold.

60 DAYS
Minimum 30% CASH down, with balance due 60 days from initial deposit.    If cancelled  prior to the 60th day, or if balance is not paid in full  by the 60th day,  the entire initial deposit is non-refundable and the item will be placed back in stock to be sold.

There is no grace period for layaways.  Layaways that will carry over into another calendar year are not allowed.

All of CL Defense's prices assume CASH SALES.  We also take credit/debit cards and some other payment options in store.  Sales tax of 8% will be added to all sales.  Any transaction other than CASH will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

We price items based on what they cost us.  In many cases, you will find that we offer the lowest prices around.  We don't do much haggling.  Also, pricing on this website is subject to change without notice.  

All firearm and ammo sales are FINAL.  If you encounter a problem with a firearm, you should contact the manufacturer for remedy.  We are willing to help you troubleshoot problems, but if a new firearm has a defect, the manufacturer wants to hear from the customer.
